The DaVinci IQ2 Debut!

A quick History of DaVinci Vaporizers With the release of the DaVinci IQ2, we'd like to revisit the history of DaVinci as a manufacturer. DaVinci released their first vaporizer, The DaVinci Vaporizer, back in 2012 and the Ascent in 2013. Three years later the hard work and innovation of this company brought about the high-quality IQ vaporizer. The DaVinci IQ received and continues to receive an incredible amount of praise, and in 2017 it won the Spannabis Award. In 2018 they released a smaller, even more pocket friendly vaporizer, The Micro. It’s clear that DaVinci know what they’re doing when it comes to manufacturing. Their vaporizers are focused on purity, flavor, innovation and precision. For years the IQ has remained a go-to for vape enthusiasts who enjoy total and complete control over every session. Now, DaVinci has released the DaVinci IQ2 Portable Vaporizer and we’re excited to share our first look at it!

DaVinci IQ2 Colors

The DaVinci IQ2 features The IQ2 at first glance looks very similar to the original DaVinci IQ. It has that same sleek shape and size that we love but a brand new beautifully brushed aluminum finish. The light grid display shows the length of your draw, the dose per draw, temperature, the battery level, and more. The DaVinci IQ2 uses a flat-top 18650 battery with 10A continuous discharge which improves the lifespan of the vaporizer. The airpath has also been simplified to make it even easier to clean than the original DaVinci IQ. That hard-to-clean area beneath the flavor chamber is now a thing of the past. The DaVinci IQ2 features temperature adjustment that allows you to manually set a temperature or use the Smart Path temperature control. The DaVinci IQ2 is made with an all ceramic vapor path with zirconia components and a glass lined ceramic oven. Metal and/or plastic will never make contact with the material so it's pure flavor! The DaVinci IQ2 also features some changes in the insulation around the chamber to produce more flavor and even heating. The DaVinci IQ2's Pearl is also larger and easier to adjust to modify the oven size. The DaVinci IQ2 is built to last for a long time, so it's backed with a 10-year warranty. It also comes with dosing capsules and a liquid material disc so you have everything you need to get started.

DaVinci IQ2 Airflow Adjustment

The DaVinci IQ2 Specs The DaVinci IQ2 can hold up to 0.5g of dry material or 0.2g in the extract pod. The vaporizer is 1.75 x 3.61 x 0.97 inches in size and weighs only 6 oz, slightly larger than the original. The device will heat up in around 30 seconds and the battery provides about an hour’s worth of use. Batteries are replaceable so you can swap out for a fully charged battery on the go. The DaVinci IQ2 takes about 6 hours to fully charge from empty. However, you can cut that time a bit by purchasing an external charger.

The DaVinci IQ2 - What's New? We talked about some of the new features above but what are the most notable changes? One of them is the Airflow Dial. This allows you to adjust the device for easier draws, cooler vapor, and bigger clouds. The ability to adjust the airflow this way makes a massive difference in results. It also makes this vaporizer more approachable for those who prefer a less restrictive airflow. Having that control makes your experience with this vape exactly the way you want it to be. The new Dose Calculation is a remarkable new in-app feature. It allows you to set the strain potency and mass of the material in the oven and then receive a calculation for the estimated dose per draw and per session. You can even add a maximum dosage per session and the DaVinci IQ2 will signal when you’ve reached it. This is the first time that we've been able to fill a vape with material and have a device tell us how much of a result we're getting. This greatly benefits those of us who need or want to keep track of exactly how much we’re getting out of our material. Goodbye days of accidentally over-doing it and then feeling cloudy headed while typing up blogs about the new DaVinci IQ2… (ahem) and hello clear-minded, perfect dose days and productivity... unless you prefer it the other way around.
