eBay and Amazon are fun places to shop, and some of the deals on vaporizers almost seem too good to be true. There is only one problem: they are too good to be true. Counterfeit and Grey Market vaporizers are a growing problem online and most vaporizer dealers have had enough.
-Counterfeit
Vapor Genie was one of the first to experience the counterfeit game. Knock offs from China flood eBay even though they have been tested and proven to contain lead. Iolite, Arizer, Silver Surfer, Hot Box, have also had similar issues with Fake products being sold as authentic.
-Grey Market
Grey market refers to sellers who buy products from unauthorized sources and resell them as authorized products. Grey Market vaporizers are sometimes authentic products, but unfortunately because the manufacture has no way of knowing for sure, the warranty is void.
Most vaporizer Manufactures and Authorized dealers have come to the conclusion that they will no longer do any repairs or accept any returns for their products if they were purchased from eBay or Amazon.
