Healthy Rips just updated the FIERCE, and we have the details.
Our good friends from Healthy Rips have made some updates, and we’ve got all the details on the most recent version of the FIERCE. Some changes were made to the internals as well as a firmware update.
The FIERCE is on the larger side of portable vaporizers, it’s roughly 4 inches tall, 3 inches wide and weighs about 10 ounces. The Mighty for comparison weighs a little more than 9 ounces and the Fury 2 weighs about 5 ounces.
You might notice some obvious similarities between the FIERCE and the Fury 2. The Fury 2 has become a very popular vaporizer, and Healthy Rips wanted to make a larger, more powerful version. The FIERCE is roughly double everything; it’s twice as big, has double the battery life and the oven is twice as large. DOUBLE RAINBOW.
Construction:
The chamber and air path are both stainless steel. The heating element sits below the chamber, warming up the air that flows through your herbs.
The mouthpiece is held into place with two magnets and two guides. This version of the mouthpiece has a screen on the bottom and a nice long glass air path. This extended air path gives your vapor a chance to cool down, making it feel less harsh.You also have the accessory attachment, which holds a bunch of random glass adapters including the glass stem, both of these parts come standard with the FIERCE package.
With the standard mouthpiece, you load your herbs directly into the chamber. With the accessory attachment, your herbs go in the glass. Whether I’m using the glass adapters or loading directly into the chamber, I use about 1/4 of a gram.
On the bottom of the FIERCE you have your usb-c port. USB-C charges this vaporizer nice and fast, a full charge takes about 80 minutes. I did notice that not all cables fit into this port.
On the other side you have a path for your air flow. The FIERCE has a fully isolated air path which is something we love to see.
Down below you have your battery door. We are all used to battery doors that either slide out or latch into place. Those work great when they work, however broken battery doors are one of the more common warranty issues we see. So Healthy Rips went with a door style that is replaceable which should reduce warranty issues.
Battery life & interface:
The FIERCE battery is a 4050 mAh, 3.7 volt LiPo. That’s a lot of power. This vaporizer does not have pass through charging, so you can’t use it while it’s plugged in. Pass through charging is convenient however it isn’t the best for the lifespan of your batteries.
With my FIERCE I get roughly an hour and 45 minutes of use when set to 400 Fahrenheit. For me, that is more than enough for an entire day, however we all differ depending on our usage.
On the side are the standard power, and plus/minus buttons.
You also have an internal haptic sensor, which is just a fancy way of saying it vibrates when it turns on, off, and when the vaporizer reaches full temperature. Buzz Buzz.
The FIERCE in action:

Three taps of the power turns the FIERCE on. You are greeted with a vibration and welcome screen then your display pops up.
There is a good amount of information on this display. You have your battery life indicator on top. Also in the top portion you can see your current temperature as well as your set temperature. The bottom half shows your shut off timer and your set shutoff time.
Pressing your plus/minus buttons change the temperature anywhere between 320 and 430 Fahrenheit, If you want to adjust the shut off timer, hold down the power button for a few seconds until you see the set time highlighted. Here you can adjust the timer from 180 and 480 seconds. That equates to 3 and 8 minutes.
The FIERCE does start heating as soon as you triple tap the power button, and within approximately 30 seconds it's ready to go.
The flavor quality is comparable to higher-end hybrid vaporizers. The airflow is slightly restricted. Not a lot, just enough to make your vapor nice and dense.
Typically I’m looking for any unwanted flavors. Nothing in the newest version of the FIERCE stands out to me other than the taste of my herbs which is exactly what I want.
You get great tasting convectioney draws in the beginning, then as the chamber gets hotter, the clouds get bigger and more powerful. I usually set my temperatures around 380 Fahrenheit, however with the FIERCE I can go a little higher and not worry about the harshness as I would with other vaporizers.
This is one of the few vaporizers I like to use without water filtration since the long air path gives your vapor enough time to cool down before reaching your mouth.

Healthy Rips is a big vaporizer, larger than what I would normally carry around, however, the shape of the FIERCE is similar to my wallet, which makes it fit nicely in the pocket. The giant battery means I can use this vaporizer in group settings or all day outings. Vapor production is smooth yet very cloudy. Overall a great product that is designed to last you a long time.
