Fake Mighty Vaporizers, we Bought One
Fake Mighty Vaporizer
The Mighty and Crafty vaporizers have been crazy popular. Storz & Bickel is known for making the highest of high end vaporizers and once again they did not disappoint.
Unfortunately, as with all success, there are imitators. This fake Mighty Vaporizer was purchased from eBay; they are also available on other sites and from China distributors for about $75.
From a distance they look similar; a closer look and the fake Mighty vaporizer is clearly lower quality. The fake Mighty uses a plastic that is shiny and smooth, not matted like the original. We have no idea what material is used on the fake Mighty, however, there were several white stress lines visible on the plastic; a sign of low quality material. When we took these pictures the mouthpiece kept falling off because it was not a snug fit.
The logo on the real Mighty is a 3D holographic decal; the fake Mighty uses a rubber mat with a stamped logo.
The displays are almost identical, except the fake Mighty was slightly off center. Also, if you look at the left button you can see light coming from the side. The buttons were not a perfect fit like the legit Mighty’s are.
The Filling chamber on the fake Mighty is darker grey and the the metal chamber is not properly aligned.
The o-rings are way off. The real Mighty has light blue rings that are soft and stretchy. The fake Mighty uses silicone rings which are dark blue and red.
S&B is now using darker blue o-rings as well, however, they are not using the red silicone rings.
The Grinders look nothing alike. The official S&B Grinder has their logo on the front; the fake Mighty grinder has a leaf on it and is noticeably lower quality.
The filling chambers are surprisingly spot on. We honestly could not tell the difference from the real and the fake. Strange that the grinder would be so incorrect when they pretty much nailed this piece.
The fake Mighty box is smooth and shiny; the original box has more of a matted finish. The background image also seems to be slightly off-color and less defined. Inside the box, the fake Mighty uses a foam cut-out to store the vape; the real Mighty uses a styrofoam mold.
The Quality Seal is noticeably different as well. The real Mighty has a light orange seal; the fake’s are darker. The difference is small but noticeable.
The fake Mighty box was peeling when it arrived; low quality packaging is not something you would expect from a $399 vape. Also, there is no serial number. Magic-Flight also has counterfeits that are sold as “special non-serial version,” which of course is not true.
The logos are noticeably different as well. The font appears to be exactly the same but with no shadowing. Nice of the counterfeiters to include the Registered Trademark logo.
Packaging documents look identical; fake warranty information and contact info is even included.
It’s a shame that counterfeits exist, it hurts the brand name and it ultimately rips off the consumer. When buying a vaporizer make sure you buy from a trusted seller. You can purchase an authentic Mighty right HERE.
