United StatesMy first device was a Fury Edge, which is great in it's own right: portable, good flavor and quick-heating. However, as a daily medical user, I needed something more convenient. Enter Storz & Bickel's "Volcano Classic". The Volcano surpassed my expectations in almost-every category: flavor, effectiveness, ease-of-use. The one area where I found the Fury Edge to be comparable was efficiency :) The loading and cleaning for this device is dead simple, too... What sets this device apart from others is that it's a 100% "convection-style" vaporizer...Most other devices that market themselves as "convection-style" vapes use a hybrid of convection and conduction heating, but the Volcano is the real deal. The proof is in the finished product: my Fury Edge herbs (which is partial convection, mostly conduction heating) are browned by the time all the trichromes are boiled off, whereas the Volcano's herbs are STILL GREEN. Practically no burning, scorching, singing of the product at all. Just pure, tasty bags of medication. If you're on the fence about this device, I recommend you go ahead and pull the trigger. Chose the good ole classic instead of the new hybrid because of the change in chamber material to aluminum and im on a budget. Very happy with the simplicity of this unit. Wish they offered a reducer chamber version out of the box. Very pleased with vapor quality, ez valve system, ez cleanup. Combined with the magma industries water perc the draws are cool, smooth, and more humid. The volcano makes very consistent vapor every time. I like how you can pull the chamber off and it stops cooking (session). It makes noise and vibration like an aquarium bubbler. Puffitup delivered this quickly during the holiday peak so that's awesome of course.
I wanted a volcano since 2009. I finally pulled the trigger 10 years later and I feel like a fool for not doing it sooner.
